Boys Varsity Baseball · Offensive Firepower Lifts Warriors Over Benton 10-7

The Warriors stayed hot at the plate and extended their win streak to seven games with a win to start the Pony Express Tournament in St. Joseph, MO. Senior Kyle Ruff and Sophomore Andrew Hedgecorth led the way with three hits a piece combining for 5 RBI’s. Sophomore Ryker Edwards hit his first home run of the season with a 2 run opposite field moonshot in the top of the 1st. On the mound Junior Cooper Ezzell provided 2 1/3 innings of 1 hit relief, before giving way to Senior Brad Schram who slammed the door and picked up his second save of the season. The Warriors will be back in action on Wednesday at 4:30 back at Phil Welch Stadium vs. Savannah High School.
