Boys Varsity Baseball · Warriors Advance to Pony Express Tournament Championship

Varsity baseball kept rolling Wednesday evening with a 3-0 win over Savannah High School. The 8th win in a row for the Warriors earned them a spot in the championship game in the Pony Express Tournament, hosted at Phil Welch Stadium in St. Joesph, MO. On the mound Senior Caleb Sanders posted a complete game shutout while allowing only 1 hit. Offensively the Warriors only had 4 hits but made them count, Junior Chester Brooks added some insurance in the top of the 6th with a deep double to left field. Sophomore Samuel Wornson went 1-3 at the plate and provided two stellar plays in RF. The Warriors will play in the championship game Thursday at 4:30 vs the winner of Platte County and St. Joe Lafayette.
