Smithville Warriors Varsity wins contest against Ft. Osage, 6-3

Smithville Warriors Varsity opened up scoring in the second inning. Haley Cotter drove in two when Cotter homered.

Cotter earned the win for Smithville Warriors Varsity. Cotter lasted four innings, allowing six hits and two runs while striking out one. Makaela Carr threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Carr recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Smithville Warriors Varsity.

Harley Vassholz took the loss for Ft. Osage. Vassholz surrendered six runs on ten hits over seven innings, striking out four and walking one.

Smithville Warriors Varsity socked two home runs on the day. Adi Callahan had a long ball in the second inning. Cotter went for the long ball in the second inning.

Smithville Warriors Varsity racked up ten hits in the game. Callahan, Deyton Odneal, Lily Wornson, and Katie Robinette all managed multiple hits for Smithville Warriors Varsity. Robinette, Wornson, Odneal, and Callahan each collected two hits to lead Smithville Warriors Varsity.
